ST. JOSEPHS MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAMS

St. Josephs offers many programs for mental health. They cover areas of addiction, anxiety, OCD, Crisis Support, Seniors mental health and so much more. Click on the link below to search their programs

GOOD SHEPHERD – BARRETT CENTRE FOR CRISIS SUPPORT

Barrett Centre for Crisis Support provides a safe environment in the community for individuals who experience a mental health and/or substance use crisis and who do not require a hospital stay. We serve anyone, 16 years of age or older. Our confidential and free services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

INTERVAL HOUSE

Interval House of Hamilton provides emergency shelter, safety planning and support services for women with or without children that have experienced abuse or violence.

NOTRE DAME HOUSE: (AGES 16-21)

Notre Dame House School provides an alternative learning environment, breaking barriers for students who have been affected by homelessness, poverty, family breakdown and mental illness. Students may attend the school for a brief period and then reintegrate into a main stream high school or they may complete their high school credits and graduate from Notre Dame House School.

CATHOLIC FAMILY SERVICES: WALK IN COUNSELLING

Single session counselling effective at addressing an immediate concern with an opportunity to feel heard and to identify strategies for coping. Some of the issues we address include depression, loss, divorce, stress, anxiety, family problems, abuse, relationships, and trauma. All of our walk-in counsellors provide professional services in a safe, supportive and strength-based way.

CRISIS AND OUTREACH SUPPORT TEAM: COAST

A crisis is when a person feels they can’t cope anymore. A person might feel out of control, or might be having thoughts of harming someone else or themselves. Sometimes a person in crisis has thoughts of ending their life. If this is you or someone you know, take it seriously and reach out for help.

EMERGENCY FOOD PROGRAM (VENTURE CENTRE)

The Good Shepherd Venture Centre Emergency Food Program is a dignified, efficient and safe space where emergency food and clothing is easily accessible for clients.
